Dunk!festival blijft affiche uitbreiden

De line-up van Dunk!festival was eigelijk al compleet, daar kwam nog Amenra bij en nu komt daar nog een extra artiest bij: Hellvete.

Hellvete is het project van de Belgische poly-instrumentalist Glen Steenkiste, hij brengt zijn radiante harmonieën and hoopvol klinkende drones naar dunk!

"Known for his uniquely eclectic approach to composition, Hellvete is the solo moniker of Glen Steenkiste. Previously active in Silvester Anfang and Sylvester Anafng II, Glen is known for his multi-sided approach to composition, and an almost insatiable desire to experiment with sound. This latests project, encapsulates the artist's more cheerful side and a preference for longer compositions. Drawing influences from early Minimalism and old folk music, Hellvete's beautifully sprawling suites feature a prominent use of harmonium and shruti box, createing probing and intense compositions that undo notions of time and place. Hellvete is like taking an endless shower of sunbeams, warm, comforting and mind-altering. Music that makes time stand still and focuses on shifting details and textures, but massive in sound and presence."

Helaas is er ook een afzegging te melden: Nonsun zal niet op dunk!festival kunnen spelen.

Dunk!Festival gaat in 2023 door van 18 tot en met 20 mei.
