Het Nederlandse God Dethroned deelt hun nieuwe single "The Judas Paradox"
Iconische black/death metallers GOD DETHRONED uit Nederland werpen licht op een bijbelse kroniek met het titelnummer en de tweede single van hun aankomende studioalbum "The Judas Paradox", dat op 6 september 2024 zal worden uitgebracht via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM).
Het openingsnummer van het album trekt luisteraars mee naar een gevaarlijke afgrond vol verraad en presenteert het verhaal vanuit het perspectief van Judas. Dit geleidelijk aan intenser wordende lied verweeft het verhaal van de apostel over de historische gebeurtenissen waarbij Jezus betrokken was, die de ongefundeerde beschuldigingen aan het adres van een van zijn naaste discipelen weerlegt, uitgedrukt in mompelende koorzangen.

Vocalist/guitarist Henri "The Serpent King" Sattler explains, "The title track of the album! The song talks about Judas Iscariot, who speaks about the events surrounding the betrayal of Jesus Christ from his point of view. It's a topic that holds the world in its grip since the story became public knowledge. Musically it's the most atmospheric and melody driven song on the album."
