Meer info: De Amerikaanse band Atreyu heeft al meer dan twintig jaar op de teller staan, maar toont nog steeds geen tekenen van vermoeidheid. Hun vroege emo-invloeden zijn in de loop der jaren geëvolueerd naar een mix van alternatieve en hardrock. Tegenwoordig beschrijft de vijfkoppige band zichzelf als een “luide rockband,” wat eigenlijk de perfecte beschrijving is. In 2021 brachten ze hun achtste album, “Baptize,” uit. Deze plaat komt binnen als een mokerslag en bevat meer meezingbare refreinen dan ooit tevoren. Hoewel zanger Alex Varkatzas de band in 2020 heeft verlaten, blijven drummer Brandon Saller en bassist Marc McKnight het vocale DNA van Atreyu krachtig voortzetten!
