Grand Magus releaste nieuwe single via Nuclear Blast Records!

Vorige week releaste Grand Magus The Wheel Of Pain, hun tweede single van hun 10de album! 

Het nieuwe album Sunraven wordt gereleased op 18 oktober via Nuclear Blast Records en gaat conceptueel over het legendarische gedicht Beowulf, een oud verhaal van epische proporties over helden en monsters, eer en dapperheid, overwinning en nederlaag. Kortom, thema's die altijd een belangrijke rol hebben gespeeld in het lyrische concept van Grand Magus.

JB (zang en gitaar) reageert:
"The album is about Beowulf and Grendel. In essence, Sunraven is Beowulf, and that's my own invention. But some of the songs are written about and from the perspective of Beowulf, and some of the songs are written about and from the perspective of Grendel, the monster he faces in Denmark. That kind of steered me and carried me through the lyrical process this time. I've never done anything like this before. I've always been fascinated by that tale. These myths and legends are about all the basic things that we sing about – life, death, glory, dishonour, love, hate, overcoming difficulties, facing impossible opposition and so on."
